I'm Dillon, I like to create experiences for real people.
With a background in healthcare and non-profits, my passion has always been to serve and help people. I shifted into product design to use software as another way to serve people at scale.
Across nearly a decade of leading teams, I've learned that good products come from healthy systems: clear goals, real feedback loops, and the humility to iterate. I've often been the first or only product designer in the room, building design systems, workflow patterns, and ways of working from scratch.
I'm happiest during the problem solving process: mapping what's really happening for users, testing ideas quickly, and shaping processes that help cross-functional teams make better decisions together. My measure of success is simple: did we ship something that made real work easier for real people?
Outside of work, I recharge in nature, roast my own coffee, and love to meet new people. I also watch an unreasonable number of cat videos 😸

- Primary product designer supporting a portfolio of SaaS products from mature, revenue-critical tools to early MVPs in a post-acquisition environment.
- Established an internal design system to unify interaction patterns and visual language across brands and products, reducing ad-hoc design work and inconsistencies.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools to build interactive prototypes with code, helping engineers move from concept to implementation faster and with fewer handoff gaps.
- Partner closely with product and engineering to evolve workflow for design-dev collaboration, introducing clearer specs, more realistic prototypes, and earlier technical feedback.
- Expanded scope beyond product UX into photography, videography, and live-stream content to support launches and customer education.

- Built an internal design system and token framework used by both product and marketing teams to ship more consistent experiences faster.
- Introduced lightweight continuous discovery practices (surveys, interviews, prototype tests) that generated a prioritized feature backlog based on real user needs.
- Collaborated with the product manager to shape requirements, refine scope, and prioritize work across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Created proto-personas and journey maps that surfaced four distinct user segments, reframing how the team thought about who they were building for.

- Designed responsive web and native mobile experiences across B2B, B2C, and social media products, adapting workflows to different user and business needs.
- Built tailored design systems for each client to support faster iteration and clearer handoff to engineering.
- Facilitated weekly design reviews with clients, improving alignment and leading to 3 project extensions.
